City Hall of the Italian town sawed school desks
In the schools of the Italian town of Sellia Marina, there were not enough new single rooms, and the mayor's office decided to cut 200 old double rooms, thus turning them into 400 new ones, local media reported on Wednesday, September 23. To complete the transformation process, wooden supports were used. Classes in Italian schools in most regions resumed on September 14. A number of preventive measures are provided from transplanting schoolchildren at single desks (for distancing) to regular disinfection of all rooms. It is assumed that all students should wear masks, at least when they are outside the classroom. The need for carpentry led to the postponement of the beginning of the school year in Sellia Marina for four days from September 24 to 28.
