The American company Microsoft will transfer its offices in the United States to the usual mode of operation no earlier than January 2021. This was reported by The Verge portal, citing sources in the company. Microsoft offices in the United States were closed in the spring of 2020 due to the pandemic of coronavirus infection. Most of the employees were transferred to remote operation. According to the portal, Microsoft management decided to restore the operation of offices in six stages. The fifth stage provides for the opening of offices with a number of restrictions, and the sixth transition to the usual mode of operation. It is reported that in an internal letter to Microsoft as the earliest date for the transition to the sixth stage is indicated on January 19, 2021. At the same time, Microsoft notes that the deadlines can be adjusted as necessary. Microsoft was not the first American company to make such a decision. The management of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google also allowed their employees to stay remote until the end of 2020. As previously reported by the news agency, in June, Microsoft approved a new retail strategy, which provides for the closure of all physical stores and the transfer of sales to online sites.
