According to the news agency, the protests, which grew into riots and clashes with law enforcement officers, began in Belarus after the announcement of the preliminary results of the presidential elections on August 9. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the inadmissibility of any attempts at external interference in the internal affairs of Belarus.
