WHO excludes a large number of undeclared cases in Africa COVID-19

The World Health Organization (WHO) does not believe that there are many undetected cases of coronavirus infection in Africa, the fatalities of which are not included in the statistics. This was reported by the Reuters news agency, citing a statement by the regional director of the organization. We believe there is a certain underestimation of cases, Matshidiso Moeti said at a press conference, adding that WHO is working with countries to improve their surveillance. In Africa, 416,063 cases of coronavirus infection were identified, 10,297 of which were fatal, while 196,944 patients recovered, according to Reuters estimates based on state statistics and WHO data.
