On May 7, a source in the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs told about this following a telephone conversation between the Foreign Minister of this country, Dominik Raab, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, his words quoted TASS. We welcome Russia's efforts in scientific research and vaccine development, as well as its readiness to help the difficult British return from Russia to their homeland, the source said. He also pointed out that thanks to the telephone conversation, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries had an opportunity to discuss the importance of cooperation to counter the new coronavirus at the international level and the response of the international community to its (virus) threat. In addition, the source noted that the conversation was designed in time to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, an event of great importance for both countries. It should be noted, according to the news agency, earlier it became known that in the UK over the past 24 hours 649 people with confirmed coronavirus infection died.
