Congressional experts gave poor forecast for GDP in Q2


Experts expect a sharp decline in US GDP in the second quarter, said on April 24, head of the budget office of Congress Philip Suogel. Commenting on the forecast in the management report released today, April 24, Suogel said: In the second quarter of 2020, the country's economy will face a sharp decline due to pandemic-related factors, including social distance measures taken to contain it. The report says US GDP will fall by 12% between April and June (Q2), while unemployment will 14% as a result of widespread measures to contain the pandemic. In annual terms, economists predict a decline in US GDP in Q2 by almost a 40%.
