In Malaysia, about 200 people contracted coronavirus in a mosque

190 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Malaysia. This is reported on March 15 by The Star newspaper, referring to the Ministry of Health of the country. Most of the new cases of coronavirus infection involved a massive religious event held in one of the country's mosques. Malaysia's health minister, Adham Baba, said the religious event took place at the Jamiq Petaling Mosque from 27 February to 1 March. Over the days, up to 16,000 people have visited the mosque. It is assumed that the number of people infected with coronavirus during this religious event may be significantly higher than already identified. Adham Baba asked the faithful who were present at the mosque on the days in question to contact the local offices of the Ministry of Health as soon as possible for further instructions. To date, 428 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Malaysia. Earlier, the news agency reported that the Malaysian authorities had imposed a ban on arrivals from South Korea, Iran and Italy in order to prevent the threat of coronavirus proliferation.
