Cash collections of South Korean film Parasites abroad became known
The box office collections of the film by South Korean director Pon Jun Ho Parasites abroad exceeded the 200 billion won mark (~ $168.9 million). This is reported by KBS with a link to the portal Box Office Mojo. According to published data, the cash collection of Parasites amounted to 201.6 billion won (~ 170.42 million). It is known that in North America the film collected $39.40 million, and outside it $131.02 million. It is noted that the South Korean film Parasites became the fifth foreign language film to collect a large box office in North America. One of the films that collected a large box office in the region was Labyrinth fawna, made in 2006 by Gelermo Del Toro. According to forecasts of the leading American magazine The Hollywood Reporter, the total cash collection of the film may approach or exceed the mark of $40 million.
