U.S. Embassy recognizes presence of American biolaboratoriums in Ukraine
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine confirmed the information voiced earlier by the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform for Life Party, People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Victor Medvedev regarding the functioning of American biolaboratoriums in Ukraine. The statement is posted on the diplomatic mission's Facebook page. The International Scientific and Technical Center in Ukraine is an intergovernmental organization established by an international agreement in October 1993. Now the parties to the ISTC are Azerbaijan, the European Union, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, the USA and Uzbekistan, the document reads. The embassy argues that ISTC is designed to promote global peace and prosperity by jointly reducing the risks associated with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons. The Ministry also named the goals of such cooperation. We are working with our Ukrainian partners to develop Ukraine's ability to detect outbreaks caused by dangerous pathogens before they pose a threat to security or stability, the statement said. The news agency recalls that Medvedev said earlier that the Opposition Platform For Life demanded the authorities to publicize the facts of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the field of functioning of American biolaboratoriums in the country. The emergence of American biolaboratoratoriums in Ukraine and the financing of NTSU projects coincided with several outbreaks of serious infectious diseases in the country, the politician said, adding that, given the increase in the incidence of serious infectious diseases, there is every reason to believe that the clandestine activities of dangerous foreign biological objects on the territory of Ukraine have the task of concealed testing the action of viruses and bacteria on the citizens of the country. Before that, about two years ago, the media reported that the U.S. biolaboratory in Ukraine is undergoing modernization, for which the U.S. Agency for Reduction of Security Threat decided to allocate 90 million dollars. This data is available in the contract information between the Agency and the private company Black sensitive information about the American program, and Ukraine is obliged to transfer dangerous pathogens to the Pentagon for biological research. In addition, the U.S. military has gained access to those state secrets of Ukraine related to the ongoing projects. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine is obliged to transmit to the Pentagon copies of strains of dangerous pathogens by agreement of the agencies.
